Packaging Technician

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL: • Have the ability to work in an alcohol production environment without abusing it • Possess a team-first attitude and understand the need to be a self-starter • Have basic mechanical skills and the ability to operate applicable machinery, and forklifts • Maintain production and task organization • Excellent time management and organizational skills • Willingness to assist with tasks outside key responsibilities • Communicate efficiently and effectively with team • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment • Above all… results-driven, respectful, careful, and honest RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO): • Assisting packaging operations including canning, keg filling, and occasionally bottling • Setup and cleanup of packaging supplies and areas • Cleaning kegs • Building pallets with packaged product as it comes off of the filling line • Troubleshooting equipment failures with other packaging team members • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized packaging area • Testing carbonation and dissolved oxygen using an Anton Paar CboxQC at-line meter • Testing dissolved oxygen in cans using an Anton Paar PFD piercing unit and CboxQC at-line meter • Assisting in operation of a Meheen bottling line when necessary • Maintaining accurate records • Upholding established quality parameters • Following established standard operating procedures • Inspecting product and package quality with great attention to detail • Possessing a willingness to learn, take direction, and work collaboratively REQUIREMENTS: • Brewery or similar experience is preferred but not required • Understanding of physical requirements of this position • Must be neat and understand cleaning and organization is paramount PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to work at a fast pace and remain on feet for long periods • Ability to frequently reach out with hands and arms as well as stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds employing traditional lifting methods • Ability to be frequently exposed to wet conditions and work in extreme cold and heat • Ability to safely handle chemicals • Ability to work near moving mechanical parts COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: • Compensation is based on experience and performance, with a range of $15.00 to $18.00/hour • Medical, Dental, & Vision benefits after 90-day eligibility period • 401K with match after 1 year service • Paid Time Off after 90-day eligibility period • Employee Assistance Program • Monthly gift card to pay for food, merchandise, and beer • Free, weekly take home beer and 2 free shift beers • Possible performance and referral bonuses
