We seek a highly motivated brewer with expert knowledge of the brewing process from grain to glass. This person will need to communicate daily workflow needs with fellow brewers and management. The ability to follow production schedules as laid out and report any issues to management promptly is a must.
Responsibilities
• Support the application of best practices and quality control measures in brewing and cellaring
• Occasional recipe development
• Identify areas for improvement when it comes to efficiency, communication, processes, quality, etc. and implement positive change
• Daily housekeeping and cleanliness measures for a quality-driven brewery
• Inventory and reporting of received goods and communicating needs to management
Qualifications
• 2+ years of relevant commercial brewery experience preferred, but willing to train the right person with less experience
• Expert-level knowledge of brewing processes, science, and quality control measures
• Automation brewing experience is a plus
• Centrifuge operating experience is preferred
• High-level knowledge of brewing ingredients and adjuncts
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to use Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, and google docs
• Team player, self-starter, and can-do attitude
